Students will practice counting and comparing numbers by rolling dice. The student to roll the highest number gets to put a piece on their snowman- giving good trackpad practice.
1st grade Related Facts review- Google Forms
Students will virtually "build" their snowmen by successfully answering questions about related facts. This lesson automatically redirects them to a review video if they do not answer the question correctly.
1-2 Smart Lab: Nouns and Verbs- must have a smartboard
Students will learn and practice what nouns and verbs are. There are several smart lab activities to practice this concept. Having a class lab account set up for your specific class in advance would be helpful.
2nd Grade Snowflake Bentley Activity
Students will learn about snowflakes by listening to the story, Snowflake Bentley and make their own snowflake and share them.
2-3 Red Sled Collaborative Story
Students will practice writing a collaborative story following the pictures from the story, The Red Sled.
3rd Grade "Pick a Path" Math Word problem practice
Students practice working through word problems that involve multiple steps and repeated addition and subtraction. It is self-checking, so students get immediate feedback if it is not correct and can go back and figure out the correct answer.
3-4 MLK Jr study
Students will watch videos about Martin Luther King Jr and his "I Have a Dream Speech" then write their own speech using provided thought bubble prompts.
4th Grade Snowflake Study
Students will learn about and practice using their knowledge of the water cycle as it applies to snowflakes as they read about and watch a video on snowflakes. They will take a quiz to demonstrate their new knowledge.
4-5 Smart Lab: Factors- must have a SmartBoard
Students will learn and practice what factors are and finding factors of a given number.
5th Grade Make-a-Monster: Google Drawing
Students will create a monster using Google Draw tools. They will write a description of their monster that another students would read and try to replicate their monster using their description.
5-6 MLK JR study
Students will read about MLK Jr and create a poster with important information about him.
6th Grade Battlesheets
Students will practice their knowledge of coordinate planes with this pre-coded version of Google Sheets Battleship.
