is
HOUR OF CODE!
K-1 lessons:
These activities are all done without text so they can begin learning the concept of coding without struggling through reading. If students enjoy coding and understand the concept, have them try some of the other activities listed for 2-3rd grade.
2-3 lessons:
Both the Flappy and Minecraft uses the code language BLOCKLY so students drag blocks to tell the character what to do. It starts simple and gets more difficult the further into the lesson it goes. Flappy is easier than Minecraft, so students that struggle with problem solving may want to start there and move to Minecraft when they are successful. The sports game is simple to code, and fun to play if that is interesting for students.

4-6th lessons:
Students in 4-6th grades hopefully have already had experience with coding. Alice in Wonderland starts with students seeing written code, then has them practice writing it. In Star Wars, they can choose to use Blockly or write the code themselves, practicing the syntax of code writing. Code Combat is all syntax writing, but they can practice and learn how to write code for different code languages.
